Goings-On

This page is meant to be an informal blog, where website visitors can see less polished photos and personal documentation. I'm hosting this website on Google Sites and pay for the domain name through Squarespace: $10 per year. The closest thing to this is a LinkedIn presence - just not as fun though (and about 50x more expensive when you subscribe to Premium).

Around 2024 I stopped using Instagram for a few reasons: 

1.  It became harder to upload pictures from my web browser or phone, with a total lack of Meta-Google Photos cooperation; 

2. I feared that Meta had far too much to gain with access to my cell phone photos and content I voluntarily posted; and

3. The amount of algorithmically force-fed advertising and suggested content from strangers' accounts, stuffed into the feed, was making me feel ill.

I still use Meta's Facebook Marketplace these days, and more often than not I do commerce through Reddit or Craigslist; at least on Reddit, the forum of all forums, you can feel a better sense of agency by selecting one community or the other.

One of the biggest changes that I've made in the past year has been to use a reMarkable e-Ink device, to which I "Print" digital content like blog posts, Law360 News articles, and all of the cases or supporting documents needed for 2L classes.
